Janet Ruffin

Chief Nursing Officer

Janet brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to her role at DMC. During her career, she has worked in front-line and management positions in facilities ranging in size from 140 beds to 848 beds. As a nurse leader, Janet has managed multiple service lines including Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Behavioral Health, and Med-Surg. In her most recent position as CNO of Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL, she helped the facility attain Chest Pain Accreditation, and complete Joint Commission Accreditation with no patient care issues.

Besides her considerable job experience, Janet has an extensive educational background. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Most recently, Janet attained the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Colorado.

Janet is a committed nurse leader with a talent for building and fostering cohesive teams. She believes in the interdisciplinary delivery of patient care, which includes creating a positive work environment where teamwork and collaboration is valued, and where everyone has a voice. By working together, she knows quality is promoted and achieved, and excellent patient care is delivered.
