If you’re looking for a way to get some exercise, have fun, and help
your community, don’t miss the 2019 Dash for Dignity, presented
by Dallas Medical Center.
The Dash for Dignity is a 5K Run, One Mile Dignity Parade, Street Carnival,
and Health Fair benefiting Achieve’s programs for adults with disabilities.
This family event attracts runners and spectators from all areas of the
DFW Metroplex. Participants and attendees will be able to enjoy great
food, drinks, and music.
The health fair will offer a variety of
FREE health screenings, including blood pressure checks, glucose tests, bone
density scans, peripheral artery disease tests, and much more! Plus, we'll
also have informational booths for things like hands-free CPR, nutrition
information, and pharmacists who will review your medications*. There
will also be
FREE activities for kids at the street carnival, including bounce houses, carnival
games, and prizes. We'll also have emergency vehicles for kids to
tour, including a fire truck, police car, ambulance, and even a helicopter!
The Dignity Parade, health fair, and street carnival are all
FREE events. The 5K race has a cost associated with it, but you do
NOT need to participate in the race in order to enjoy the health fair and/or
street carnival. You may come for any or all events!
*If you would like a pharmacist review your medications, please bring
all of your medications in a bag to the event.
